Gianfranco Castagnola

Partner and Chairman of the Board

Mr. Gianfranco Máximo Dante Castagnola Zuñiga is Chairman of the Board of AC Capitales since inception in 2002. He also chairs the investment fund committees of AC Capitales and brings a thorough understanding of the economy, the country and region business environment and critical issues in investment and risk management, as well as a broad experience in M&A and corporate finance. He has advised and co lead the majority of the corporate finance and M&A transactions executed by APOYO Consultoría, worth US$4.65 billion in more than 25 years, and which have involved exposure to most of the productive and service sectors of the economy. He has been a member of the Board of Banco Central de Reserva del Perú, the Peruvian Central Bank, and Fondo Consolidado de Reservas, the Peruvian Bank Deposits Insurance and Reserve Fund. He has served as director in various portfolio companies of AC Capitales, and serves as independent director in a few leading companies in Peru on behalf of the Peruvian pension funds. Gianfranco holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico.

Lizardo Miranda

Mr. Lizardo Diomedes Miranda Alzamora is CEO of AC Capitales since its inception in 2002 and director of the society. He has been responsible for structuring and closing all of the Company’s investment funds and has been involved in all of the investment processes completed by the firm. He has had a principal role in all the nearly 60 investments of the infrastructure and real estate sectors. He has served as director of various portfolio companies. Previously he worked 8 years in APOYO Consultoría’s Corporate Finance, leading various advisories in privatizations and concessions, in electricity, mining and other real assets. Lizardo holds a master’s in Business Administration from Adolfo Ibáñez School of Management (USA) and a bachelor’s in Economics from Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania.

Alberto Camet

Partner and Investment Director, Infrastructure

Alberto is Infrastructure Investment Director of AC Capitales since 2008 and director of the society. He is responsible for all investments and divestments portfolios of infrastructure portfolios and holds the position of director in the portfolio companies.  Prior to joining AC Capitales, he was founder and managing partner of a metal container manufacturer in Peru. Prior to that, Alberto spent 11 years in senior positions at subsidiaries of Credicorp Ltd. (NYSE: BAP), as Head of Corporate Finance and Corporate Banking at Banco de Crédito del Peru, and CEO of Atlantic Security Bank. Alberto holds a master’s in Business Administration from University of Chicago and a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University.

Jenny Esaine

Jenny Esaine

Partner and Investment Director, Real Estate

Jenny is a partner and Director of Investments, in addition to director of the society. She has been with AC Capitales since 2007 and has over 20 years of professional experience. She is responsible for the definition and execution of the firm’s real estate investments strategy with delivered assets under management for over US$ 260 millions. As Director of Investments for Real Estate Fund 1, she led the structuring of the firm’s Real Estate Funds 2 and 3. She holds the position of director in the companies and executive committees of portfolio’s investments, and is a member of the real estate fund investment committees.  Previously, she was the commercial manager at Cálidda, the natural gas distribution company that supplies the city of Lima, part of the SUEZ Group.  Jenny holds an MBA from Escuela Adolfo Ibañez and is economist graduated from Universidad del Pacífico.

Franshesca Valverde

Vice President, Infrastructure

Franshesca joined AC Capitales in 2019 and is the Environmental, Social and Governance Officer for the Infrastructure Investments. She has direct responsibility over the Environmental and Social Management System. For five years, she worked as a consultant in ERM, a leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, social consulting services. She has wide experience on environmental, social, health and safety risks assessment of sustainable finance project located Latin America.  Franshesca holds a master’s in Science in Integrated Management of Environmental, Health and Safety from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Universidad Nacional Federico Villareal.

Ingrin is a Vice President. She has worked at AC Capitales since December 2015 and has five years of professional experience. She is part of the Real Estate Fund 2 team, where her primary responsibilities relate to the implementation of the portfolio monitoring and divestment strategy.  She previously worked as a corporate finance analyst at DIVISO Bolsa SAB. Ingrin holds a degree in economics from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.

Aaron Zambrano, CFA, CESGA

Senior Vice President, Infrastructure

Aaron joined AC Capitales in 2021 and is a member of the infrastructure fund’s senior team. He has more than 10 years of professional experience. His main responsibility falls on the investments and transactions of the Infrastructure Fund II. He has participated in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, capital raising and debt issuance processes in Latin America as an investment banker, and in managing Latin American debt portfolios as an institutional investor.

Previously, he worked as a senior associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and before that, as an associate at Credicorp Capital.

Aaron holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Lima, CFA Charterholder and in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute and has a Master’s in Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business – Duke University.

Mr. José Eduardo Campos Corvacho is director of AC Capitales and partner at APOYO Consultoría. He has led multiple merger and acquisition transactions and capital restructuring processes. He has closed deals in several sectors, including the financial, retail, services, and health sectors, among others. Formerly, he has worked at the Economics Studies division at the Peruvian Central Bank. Eduardo holds a Master’s degree from the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and is an economist from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Born in 1965.

Mr. Javier Luis Tabata Fukuda is director of AC Capitales and partner at APOYO Consultoría. He has an extensive experience in management consulting advising clients in more than 20 countries in America, Asia and Europe. His main areas of expertise are strategic planning, growth strategies, merger & integration, business transformation and organizational design. Previously, he served as principal value engineer at SAP Latin America and senior manager at the strategic consulting company A.T. Kearney (Madrid), for six years. Javier holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Kenan-Flager Business School, University of North Carolina, and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru. He also attended specialization courses at MIT and Kellogg. Born in 1974.

Mr. Franco Giuffra Monteverde is an independent director and member of several investment fund committees of AC Capitales. He has over 30 years of professional experience in high-profile management and executive positions, among them being Director of APOYO Consultoría between 1996 and 1997, and then working for 15 years at Banco de Crédito del Perú in leadership and management roles in areas such as corporate finance, business services, human resources, and marketing. He was President of the Consumer Protection Commission at Indecopi. Since 2012 he is an independent entrepreneur. Francoholds a master’s in Public Policy from University of Chicago and a degree in Philosophy from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Born in 1962.
